Mike Miyabi

My name is Mike Miyabi, owner and Master Chef of Miyabi 9 Japanese Restaurant. My career as master chef started out in 1959 at Ikuo Restaurant in Osaka, Japan. In 1978 I moved to Los Angeles, California where I was Chief Chef in Japanese Cuisine at Shibucho Restaurant. In 1985 I opened my first restaurant Miyabi Restaurant which was located on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, CA. I was owner and Master Chef there. In 1992 I moved to Orange County, CA where I was Chief Chef for Mimi Restaurant. In 1996 I relocated to South Portland, Maine where I was Chief Chef for Fuji Restaurant. I was there for 2 years. In 1998 I opened my 2nd restaurant, Fuji Restaurant also located in Portland, Maine. In 2003 I opened my 3rd restaurant, Miyabi Restaurant, located in Framingham, Massachusetts. In 2005 and presently I am the creator and distributor of commercial Japanese salad dressing “No End, Inc”. Last but not least I am the proud owner of my 4th restaurant Miyabi 9 Japanese Restaurant. I specialize in all aspects of Japanese cuisine including but not limited to sushi, sashimi, teriyaki, yakitori, tempura, suki-yaki, udon and Western-Japanese fusion cuisine (Ton-Katsu, Curry Rice, fresh salads and others).
